Woven labels has one of the best popularity and widely chosen labels due to the nature of the product.
Woven labels are made to be used on Jacquard weaving looms. These looms weave polyester yarns called warp and weft re-creating the logo in the form of artwork. Then the labels are woven in a strip form and cut by thermic cutters or laser. This system automatically seals the spring to keep from fraying. Woven labels are very durable, launders better in the long run (than printed label) and is also soft on the skin.
Woven Labels Qualities Selection Criteria
Taffeta
Taffeta is the most basic label weave construction. Usually fairly low density, it is one of the most economical qualities available. It is a lightweight label with average text and logo definition but is very popular with retro and vintage style brands.
Twill
Twill, like taffeta is often a relatively low definition label. It is characterised by the trademark diagonal lines in the weave. Ground colours can be made stronger or more muted depending on whether a reverse (warp) or standard (weft) twill weave is used. There are also several different ways to execute a twill weave to alter the look and feel of the label, like 2×1, 3×1, 2×2 and ‘broken’ twills for example.

High Defintion labels basically have a damask-type weave construction, but the use of finer weft yarns allows for even higher density than a standard damask, resulting in extremely high levels of text and logo detail, and solid, accurate ground colours.
Damask
Damask is easily the most popular weave type today for woven labels. The relatively high density of the weave, and the fact that the weft yarns are dominant on the face, allows for strong ground colours and good detail in text and logos.
Taffeta
